I went to make a chicken breast the other night, it was dead. it was frozen enough to keep a bad smell out, but not frozen enough to decay. So i'm annoyed at the crappy fridge that was included in the hole in the ground i call an apartment. *scowls* i'm really hating my place right now. The freezer component keeps anything within 1 inch of the metal frozen, and anything above that is merely ice cold without freezing.
Hm, onto a topic that isn't pissing me off. Facebook's Farmtown, i started another farm on my secondary account, It's gonna be all trees. a grid of trees to be precise, with plowed and seeded plots under the trees. Tis neat. I'm harvesting and plowing sara's field to make more money to finance more trees. Damn orange trees cost an arm and a leg.
Hm. and in D&D news, finally converted my new excel based character sheet so it's working with Joel's game. He's got it very much homebrewed so my character sheets for a normal game don't work. So that's good, I've finished my Dread Necromancer (a possibility between him and a halfling outrider who's mount is more powerful than he is) But i've contemplated a change already to it to get things to work right, so i need to work on him some more, about an hour's worth of work. I need to finish the halfling, that's more work.
Gonna work on the only aspect of my Klingon Uniform that i can till i get money or find material. Ie the Headpiece. i'm gonna cover my hair with saranwrap (as it was suggested in the tutorial in lieu of a shower cap or bald cap), and after taking the other neccessary precautions, paper mache my head, about 75%, not the eyes though, i'll need to be able to see during this so i can do it myself as i have noone willing to do it for me. *Scowls*. then with the paper mache dried, hardened and thick, i'll patch the eyeholes, and fill her up with plaster of paris, making a plaster replica of my head. to which i'll add some clay forehead ridges, a coat of Clear Coat Paint, after waiting for that to dry, i'll start coating the top of the head in liquid latex, no less than 5 layers of that so it's strong enough to endure and keep the ridges.
Then i need to find a peice of wood or material (not steel) that's 4.5' x 1.5' in size preferably 1/8" to 1/4" thick so i can get a good grip on it in my klingon gloves. which are just them magic stretchy gloves with the fingers cut off at the first knuckle. Then the rest of the costume i can't even start until i get on OW or get a job (which is unlikely to happen before i need the costume) I need pleather, and lots of it.
*sigh* and i have no enthusiasm about hallowe'en this year. Hell last october was shitty as all hell too and i still went out! this one just sucked the energy right out of me. I may just go in my pirate garb from last year and head over to Molly Blooms and do nothing for a few hours. as i can't afford any booze. :/
If i didn't have bad luck, i'd have no luck at all right now.

So, i more than likely should go to a doctor's. for a physical or something. I haven't been in ages. i don't like doctors, (well doctors who are examining me at least, i like people who are doctors). i never end up going when i'm not feeling well, so it's impossible for people to tell what's wrong. For the last while, off and on i've been having random ribcage pains. *shrug* and right now i'm a bit dizzy (ie it feels like my brain's vibrating) but that could be because of the flashy, seizure inducing type of banner on the right side of this screen.*resizes and shoves it over so it's not as visible* Or instead of the banner, it could be due to sheer amount of caffiene in the coffee i drank before i came here and last night. *sighs* Twas tastey, it was a strong coffee, flavored with chocolate and almonds. yum. My coffee machine essentially makes 2 extra large timmy's travel mugs worth of coffee at a time. :/ i should measure cup by cup as to how much water it actually holds, cuz it claims to be a 12 cup coffee pot. Oh, and another reason i probably should go to the doc's. i've been randomly lethargic for a while.
on to more pleasent news, ran into the guy who actually owns the building that i live at, he's a nice guy, he took care of some of the issues i've been having, or at least reassuring me about them. so that's good. I finished compiling a list of Races, Base Classes, and Prestige Classes from the Core Books and Forgotten Realms books, and compiled character ideas of those i want to play, and came up with a new one. Relatively new. it's a build from Wizard's forums from the optimization circus, it's a Factotum 15/Combat Trapsmith5. using a Whisper Gnome as the race. I've taken it tweaked it, It's Factotum 10/Trapsmith5/Combat Trapsmith5, and uses either Anthropmorphic monkey or a kobold as it's race. I want toplay that in Adam's Campaign, and the party's Trap Monkey. Of course prefering to be a monkey over a kobold for more humour in the build. It's possible he'll permit the monkey, as he was willing to let me be a Vanara (a Medium sized humanoid Monkey) The Anthropmorphic monkey is a small sized monkey, so about 3 feet tall or so. Tis cute.
*sighs* Apparently Miley Cyrus has decided to stop twittering, so some guy's decided to eat his cat *can barely contain chuckles while typing that* It's name is Fuzzy. Go to WWW.Mileysavefuzzy.com for more details on that one... :/ Tis amusing.

I'm cold. usually the computer lab is warm. :/ it's even got a good buffer of normally warm air in a hall between the lab and the outside world, and it's also got about 50 computers in it keeping it warm too. Oh well. i'm gonna toss a sweater on when i get home. Carol was at my apt building yesterday, dropped off the power cord for my poor laptop. I missed her only cuz she went to the wrong sector. Well, the power cable was to help the laptop, but alas, it had no more will in it to live. I'm trying to negotiate a trade, of my old laptop for one of their more recent models. *thinks* i should back up a bit in time. About 4 years ago, i got a laptop from the children's aid society. I was a crown ward going off to college, and needed a laptop, they gave me one of the used ones they had from the workers using them. So it was old and used when i got it. it worked okay, had some problems with it. and now 4 years ago, it's gone through 4 power cables, a hard drive and a battery. It was a good hardy laptop that has decided to die of old age. So i proposed trading the old one for a newer old one and if their techs can fix it, ressurrect it they can pass it off to someone else.
Elycia apparently made muffins, as to what kind i have no idea. She's invited me over for some, i may take her up on it in a while. i'm currently just waiting on the movie 300 to finish downloading to my jump drive. and now talking to my dear marshemellon.
I'm still puttering around with ideas for both Hank's game, right now the idea is a summoner (after it being a Halfling Outrider, a Sneak Attacker, a sniper archer, a drow SLA focused wizard), and Adam's game, right now it's a rogue who's a sneak attacker. I dunno, i may change it. *sighs* i can't settle on any idea right now for D&D. tis annoying.
you know, with only a few mins of the download to go, i'm seriously thinking of going to E's for a muffin. i'll know for sure once i hit my place for a sweater.

So, let's see... what to post about.... well first off pissed off at a waste of time, effort, emotion and money (in no precise order).
My laptop is getting a new power cord, so it will work and not just be a paperweight that takes up space. In the meantime i'm attempting to take appart the Acer, nibbling away the plastic as there's still hidden screws, and gonna make it merely the electronics. It's scrap anyways. the LCD screen was destroyed and costs about the same for a new laptop. If i can, i'm gonna get it working as a 4th home computer, just using external keyboard, mouse and screen as i assume i'll end up destroying the keyboard and mouse in the process.
Random Note: I need to pee.
I got carpet in my apartment now, ended up having to not go to D&D game to get it though. Oh well. *sigh* when i mentioned it to Sara (a fellow player in the game i had to miss) she mocked me for choosing the carpet over game. *rolls eyes* it disappoints me when people who claim to know me don't get me at all. I have no hope at all for people at times. Tis blue plush carpet, has a stain resistant coating. and the first real thought i had once it was done and my apt was cleaned, was "Damn, now i want a 2 liter of cola, and a shamwow towel."
Speaking of D&D, i died last game in Hank's Campaign, so i'm floating from idea to idea now. not sure what i want to play. I've got a Drow Wizard built, a Human Swordsage/Fighter/Swashbuckler/rogue build that focuses on sneak attack. Now there's ideas of a Warlock and of a Dragonborn Mongrelfolk Dragonfire Adept, and a Dwarven Ranger who uses a musket and sends the pet in for combat. Yes; i know, it's stolen from WoW but it's a good character.
Right now, i'm controlling my bladder, ignoring the event that's happening in the B-Cafeteria, and reading the Dresdan Codak. True i'm not catching all the humour from it, but i understand it enough to find it fascinating. I desire to get drunk and/or stoned. I've got Blue Curacao and Blueberry Vodka at home, that when combined in an equal quantity with sufficient Sprite forms what i now call Romulan Ale. Tis tastey and blue. I'm chilly.
For the last two times i've been at the college, ie today and a couple days ago, i've been endevouring to download a DVD rip of Star Trek, last i left it the other day it had been at 33% complete, unfortunately, now it's as if i didn't get any, it just decided to overwrite the progress i had done. So that's annoying me.
I'm gonna just post this now, if i feel like posting again before i go, i shall

1. Reply to this post, & I will pick six of your icons. (I will because i have nothing better to do...)
2. Make a post (including this info) & talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
It was one of the first icons that i made, it was made with Irfanview and MS Paint. It's from Star Trek Insurrection when Data's walking along the bottom of the lake. It amused me. *shrug*
One of my more recent moments of boredom. I had noticed in one of my older pics, i've got a picture of me in the pose on the left and thought of the Charlies angels's famous pose. and realized hey! 3 uniforms, 3 poses... 3 of me! er.... 1 of me, and a camera and some digital photo editing skill. I took my cam, set it up for delayed pics, stood infront of a blank wall, photoshoped the wall out, merged pics, and threw in a hallway, looks like a sovererign class's hallway.
This one stems from when i decided (for about 3 hours) to do an LJ account of Marvin and i took the new movie and all the shots of marvin and iconed them, this is one of my faves from that batch. And it serves my purposes for when i'm wanting to "poke" people on LJ.
Ah, window of opportunity, 'twas one of my fave SG1 episodes, O'Neill and teal'c are repeating the same 6 hours, and Jack's getting frustrated and he kinda snaps, and comments on how he's going crazy, 2 fries short of a happy meal, wacko! all the while drawing a ketchup and mustard face on his plate. which he holds up to show to teal'c just before either the time resets or a commercial break. i don't remember off hand.
this one was for a Vowel based icontest. obviously it was for the letter A. It was quick to make, just a lens flare or something, it turned out good, it's my "self-moping moment" icon.
This is Cthulhu, of fame from Call of Cthulhu. he's an elder god, who's been sleeping for milliniums and one day will rise up to fulfill his destiny. He's also associated with the mindflayers/illithids from D&D, who eat people's brains with the tentacles on their jaw lines. He's also been attached to US presidency parodies, such as Cthulhu for President: Why vote for the lesser evil?

So, let's see what else is new? Working on a couple D&D characters, finished up one for my friday campaign, provided it ever starts up. Ye see, it's made for 6 players, we had issues for a while keeping 6 players, we lost Jorge long ago when the previous DM left as Jorge's wife had a baby, then I brought in my friend Elycia, then Hank left, and with hank our place to play left, so we've been bouncing around from person to person's place, Greg brought his GF in to the group (before hank left), i brought Sara into the group so we could have a place to play and another player, and now Elycia's decided to quit just before the campaign actually starts! Gah! so now we're waiting on Joel (a mutual friend of mine and sara's) to get up to speed and create a character for himself and incorporate himself into the group.
I've got a nice "exotic" character, that has a good stable place in being "plain" He's an Earth Dwarf with the Intermediate bloodline of Earth Elementals. So, that means that he was already more intune with the Earth than any other Dwarf, ie cuz someone in his family had "got it on" with something from the earth plane, and the bloodline part means that a couple generations ago his ancestor "got it on" with a big sentiant living peice of rock. :/ That'd hurt no matter who ye were. So i'm Part Dwarf, Part Earth Elemental. My class? Psychic Warrior for now, he'll eventually take levels of Dwarven Defender and Iron mind to increase his Damage Reduction. The whole point of the build is to increase his Armour Class (meaning make it so he's damned hard to hit) and to increase his Damage Reduction (meaning if they actually do hit him, it's damage is decreased so it's barely felt).
The other character i'm working on is a dedicated healer type, I'm thinking a Cleric of Pelor eventually multi-classing to Radiant Servant of Pelor, and Heirophant. Yes, i know that those of you who know D&D think the later is a horrible prestige class, but the ability to cast Cure Light Wounds and other healing spells as a 30ft range spell is too nice to pass up for the relatively low requirements. Though i'm working on him, i'm leaning towards an Illumanian but i'm not sure what i'll go for for race. :/
Oh! I had found a computer a few weeks ago on the curb for garbage pick-up, that i took home, it was DOA (dead on arrival) but i somehow got it working.... give or take, it's a wee bit tempermental, making me feel like Scotty, trying to work miracles on it. It's only a P4 1.6ghz CPU with only 750mb of ram. So both of those will need to be upgraded. the Vid card's nice, it's a GeForce card, with 128mb of vid ram. so i'm liking that. It's got a cool case too, the top slides off, and the sides slide up (opposed to the normal horizantal sliding sides) so it's all secured by only 2 screws on the top plate. It's pretty slick. Once i've got it stabilized, it's gonna be my secondary computer and i'll have 3 working computers. I just need to get another monitor and keyboard to be able to use all three at once.
Hm, Just trying to think what else is needed to be updated with ye guys. Nothing else really i guess, so i bid you adeu. (or however it's spelt) Til next time!

Oh! so, yeah, Buddy's staying with me still. Despite a couple of days of frustration where i was this close to throwing him out *holds thumb and pointer a milimeter apart* but i've left the window open enough for him to come and go as he pleases, and realized we're both happier with this scenario, as it means he gets excercise and fresh air, and he doesn't use the washroom inside as much, nor eats my food as much, saving me money. not that he takes much anyways. but he's a good kitty, i forgot my camera at home or else i'd put a picspam of him sleeping on my bed up. next time! i promise! and now he's taken to sleeping by my head. it's kinda cute.
so yeah. Aly's working on a new layout of my LJ, so if you notice it looking odd, just refresh and hopefully it's working. if not then come back in an hour or just look at it through your own layout. :P

it's the midsummer fire festival, and the main things i'm trying for are a pet, and a new title. and to get the title i need to run ALL over the bloody world, honouring, or desecrating bon fires. and i get fire blossoms for doing that. 10 to 25 of them, so it's not too bad, i need to buy the pet for 350 blossoms, and a 3 piece outfit for 400 blossoms, the outfit's for a new title Flame Warden. I like titles. and pets. I just wish i could have every title displayed on my character.
Chef - Bloodsail Admiral - "Gnome Of Death" - The Explorer - The Noble - Jenkens.
or at least one pre-title, and one suf-title. so Chef GoD Jenkens. or something. oh well. maybe next patch

Just at the college for a few hours since i have no internets. Let's see, i've got a few different topics to talk about....
The Cat: Well, Elycia finally admitted to not wanting the cat any more, not that i truely care. It came to my window every so often for a few days after she abandoned it. and it hasn't come to the window in a few days. I'm mildly sad that he'll have to go feral to survive or hope that someone takes him in. I was wandering today taking care of some chores (more about that in the next paragraph) and was contemplating getting my own personal pet. I'd get a kitten who's never seen the outside so it won't bloody well expect to go out. and it'd be orange. or white.
My Bike: I finally brought my bike in from outside yesterday to investigate any damages that the winter did to it, and see if i could fix the back breaks (they hadn't been working even before the winter), the back wheel had been loose for a month or so before winter, and i looked at that first, first off one side was missing a washer, no biggy, then i took the wheel off and the axel had apparently broke. Upon further inspection, it also had a gash in a part that wasn't truely integral to it's opperation but was still disconcerting, (the gash also was mildly rusty). So i went down to Canadian tire where i got the bike over a year ago, and tried to get an axle, apparently none were in stock and they'd have to order it, i'm impatient with the idea of ordering and the guy i was talking to (apparently the store manager) went to see if the bike builder had a spare axel or tire for me, so he comes back with a rim, i go the cash register and notice it's a front wheel instead of a back wheel (which is what i needed), so we trade up rims, the bike guy's with him and he comments i'm gonna need a special tool to switch the gears from my bike to the new rim. *sighs* apparently it'll cost $15 not that i have that much right now to spend. Though it looks to me that i could do it anyways, but if i can't i'll just take both old and new rims down with me to see if they can switch it for free. and if they can't i'll wait til the third (next estimated day of EI) to get the tool and do it myself.
D&D: Monday's game is going slowly. oh so slowly. it's been ages, and we've barely formed the party (still have to introduce a party member who just showed up last night; he's a kobold), we've finally got our adventure and we're stalling for us to go. so hopefully we finally actually go out and do something that earns XP next week.
For Friday's game our DM has decided he's too sick to run this week, so the job falls to me, so i'm running people through the White Plume Mountain module from the WOTC site. It's pretty neat looking, i'm at the college right now preparing to print it out.
Tuesday's game, i was playing a Vow of Poverty Wizard/Sorcerer who was gonna focus merely on magic missiles, but when i died on the first day, i grew frustrated with it, and request a character change which the DM and party allowed me willingly. so now i'm a Vow of Poverty Druid that's gonna be a wildshaper.
So, that's the main topics of the day, for now i'm just screwing around at the school for a couple hours, cuz at 9pm is a sex toy bingo at the college that's free to go to, and i convienently decide to come to the college today instead of just stopping at home cuz it's raining and i'm wearing just tshirt and pants and a chainmail shirt under the shirt (yay walking lightning rod!) i'm gonna restart work on the chainmaille pants now that my internet's down. and i reckon that's it that i need to say so... till next update!

this saturday is a good thing, 2 good things infact. however i can only go to one. and i've promised and made arrangements to go to welland for their star wars event. and i'm gonna be missing out on the World D&D day. :( so. yeah. annoyances upon annoyances.
plus bell's cut off my phone line, and is fucking with my internet now. not actually disconnecting it, but blocking certain pages, my friends page for one, my twitter... and half of my webcomics. though some load after a while, it seems to shift what pages work and which don't. but i'm using E's cell to yell at them tomorrow. Logic didn't work the other day, so brute klingon persistance will.

first off, i need to go to the college to print out the schematics for the feet for my gonk droid costume so i have some solid plans for cuts (as the first set were miscut horribly due to chickenscratch plans) then come home, and either cut peices or do my 2 hours of daily quests on WoW, and/or the dozen or so quests for Children's Week which commences today. Essentially children's week is a week where you get a companion, a war orphan who follows you while you do quests and gives you other easy quests to do (which involve running ALL over azeroth) so i'm sure that'll take hours to do.
and later at 6 i need to ship out for D&D tonight, Adam (our DM) cancelled tonight so instead of having a free night to work on my feet, i'm gonna be DM'ing the 4th edition adventure Keep on the Shadowfell.
I need to locate gino my landlord and pay him the 280 of the 325 i owe him for rent for this month. yay. *rolls eyes*
tomorrow, i need to be up for 8ish, take the bus to the mall, walk the block to the London Rogues Garrison, lugging a (hopefully) completed Gonk Power Droid costume, as tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day, and i'm dressing as a Gonk Droid.
*sighs* i'm gonna be VERY tired tomorrow. Sara's sending her foster boy Ben and our friend Ashley's son Stephen with me. They'll be my droid handlers as i can't see out of my costume except downwards at my feet. *le sigh* When i get home from the college from printing, i'm putting on a BIG pot of coffee.
and i'm on Twitter again, let's see how long it lasts... and if it'll actually work at posting it on my LJ.
Okay, TTFN!

so operation clean apt is going slowly and progressively. so that's good. i got some stacking storage bin/drawer type things one wide and one narrow, in the hopes they'd fit side by side, with a complete failure, they're a wee bit too wide. about 1 inch. *le sigh* so i'm keeping the narrow one on wheels infront of the wide one and putting my giant suitcase in the space between wall and wide storage drawer. i'm gonna get more and stack them higher as the wide one held merely half my shirts. (damn near enough for one per day of the year) and the other is holding random computer wires, computer bits, and power adapters. i'm getting rid of all my 2nd ed suppliments (ie mags and various adventures) as i'm not a 2nd ed player (though i'm keeping my core books) and certainly not a DM so i don't need them taking up precious space on my big book shelf. Which i've just filled with Star Trek novels so i've got 2.5 empty storage bins now. i need to find a proper place for them. i'm thinking just store them under the computer desk. :/ overall it's looking better in here. :D
however operation: print out D&D books has hit a significant snag. ie i had left it printing over night while i went to my friend Sara's and came home to a printer that's been fubar'd at first it looked merely like the paper jammed, (After 15 pages) and that was it. but Oh noes... it was more. i noticed the ribbon (yes it's an old Dot-matrix ribbon printer) was shredded. i tried winding it to a non-shredded point, and failing to do so i decided to open it. it was fubar'd inside. so i got a friend ie Elycia to purchase a new one for me till my check comes in, and i take it home try to get it to work, but the damn turny thing for the ink ribbon on the printer isn't turning, so i try manually turning it to loosen it, so after that the device for moving the printer head back and forth was getting jammed. so i got frustrated and cleaned it out picking out shredded bits of paper and old ribbon. it wasn't fun. so i set it aside and haven't touched it since. cuz... GRRR.
